Specifications of online/offline registration

Some of the customers sent us eamil ask us the issue of online regration key and offline registration. Following are the specifications on this issue:
1) Online registration: Your mobile can directly connect to our company online server. The registration key is 15 characters including the "dash";

2) Offine registration: Your device can not access properly to our online register server. To further assist you, our account management will generate a 14 characters key including the "dash" for you to issue an offline registration. So we neen you sending us the user-id generated by MemoryUp.

How to judge whether your mobile is suitable for online registration or offline registration:

If you can get error Messages when registering, such as: conn't connect to server, or Failed. The operation breaks up with an unexpected interruption: java.io.IOException: Tunnel failedError Code: -1, which means your device can't conntect to our server and you need to an offline registration. This time you need to send us the user-id generated by MemoryUp.
We will deal with it in the first time, :D

Great tips, Rose!

Some of our customer may have met some problem when registering our products (include MemoryUp Pro and NetworkAcc). The problem may mostly be caused by internet access issues for your BlackBerry. The following is some advices for you:

1). If you are using BES, MemoryUp could not successfully connect to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) with Mobile Data Service (MDS).

If you intend to connect via BES: Mobile Data Service must be enabled on the BES. If your BES fulfills these requirements, the issue may be that you do not have an appropriate IPPP service book entry synchronized to your handheld. You may need to consult your system administrator for help in synchronizing an appropriate service book entry and/or isolating the connection problem further.

2). If you are standalone users: first of all please check TCP/IP settings on your device, you can Enable TCP on your device. If you are not sure about the TCP setting information, please consult your ISP. The following is an example:

Rogers (USA)
Go to Options->TCP (or Tools->TCP)
APN: internet.com
Username/password is blank
Note: If this does not work, call Rogers and get the "internet.com Access Point Name" added to your account. If they say it already exists, tell them to load up the records anyway, just to double check.

If you are not sure about the internet settings for your BB, please contact your ISP (Internet service provider) for more detailed instructions.
